Or perhaps you’d like to organise a personal adventure but don’t quite know where to start?\n.\nFormer WTMC Chief Guide Monique Bon will be hosting an evening workshop for members who share a passion for exploring the great outdoors. We’ll cover all the key elements of planning and leading a successful tramp.\n.\nBy the end of the course\, you will have a thorough understanding of:\n– Planning a Tramp: From choosing a destination to mapping out the route\, we’ll discuss the best practices for creating an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone.\n– Club and Hut Etiquette: Learn the guidelines and expectations for Club-sponsored tramps and how to respect the facilities and environment we visit\, including huts and campsites.\n– Safety Protocols: Safety is our top priority\, so we’ll go over the essential safety measures\, gear checklists\, and group dynamics to ensure everyone is well-prepared.\n– Emergency Procedures: Discover the steps to take in case of an emergency\, including communication strategies\, and evacuation plans.\n– This workshop will be a combination of informative presentations\, group discussions\, and hands-on activities to help you gain the knowledge and confidence to lead your own tramps.\n.\nA pizza supper will be provided.
