SUMMARY:Lodge leader training
DESCRIPTION:We are running a Lodge Leader training session on Wednesday 13 March 2024\, 5.30pm – 6.30pm\, at the TTC hall.\n\n\n\nIf you are a club member and you are interested in attending this session\, or want to be put on the wait list for a later session\, let us know by emailing liaison.officer@wtmc.org.nz.\n\n\n\nWhat is this training for?\n\n\nOur club has a lodge at Ruapehu. The location is extreme at times and so there are systems in place that protect the lodge from freezing in the winter. Also\, because we generate our own water supply from rainwater and snow that gathers from our roof we need to pump water from water tanks which lie under the lodge.\n\n\n\nTo enable users to understand how the systems operate the lodge sub-committee need to have these training sessions to have as many of our members as possible able to use the lodge summer and winter. Anytime a group is staying at the lodge there must be at least one person who has received this training.\n\n\n\nThe system is straight forward and easy to use but there are also other aspects of the workings which can be worth knowing in the event of unforeseen events which are covered in this session.
