Arnold Heine has made huge contributions to tramping, mountaineering, skiing, mountain safety, and conservation through numerous local and national (FMC and the Mountain Safety Council) organisations since arriving in Wellington as an “immigrant” from Nelson in 1950. Arnold died on 7th October and a small, family service was held earlier this week.
Jan Heine, his wife, wishes to hold an open celebration of Arnold’s life this weekend. It will be hosted at the Hutt Valley Tramping Clubrooms, Birch St Reserve, Waterloo in Lower Hutt from noon on Sunday 20th October. Any of your Clubmembers who would like to join this celebration will be very welcome to join us!
