Hello Folks – I’m an American based in Wellington for a few months, and I’m hoping for some recommendations for tramping.

I just did Tongariro Northern Circuit in two days, staying one night at Oturere Hut. That was doable for me, though if I were to do it again, I would slow down to enjoy more time at the huts.

I have an opening in my schedule from March 13-16, and would love to Routeburn, Kepler or Milford, though the DOC huts are booked up then. I’d love any suggestions of what might be a great tramp, even if it is not an official “Great Walk.”
