Hi all,
Looking for some dehy food options for a longer tramp, we came across Harmony House Foods (www.gohhf.com).
They’ve got a wide range of vegetables and soy-based protein chunks at a reasonable cost. This allows you to have light-weight dinner options while not being confined to the Backcountry Cuisine (or other brand) instant pouches; just add your own spice mix, cheese, salami or whatever you prefer.
Shipping to NZ takes about 7-10 days (at least, when we ordered August 2021).
Be sure to use the ‘International Shipping’ option on their website.
Cheers

The club has a dehydrator members can borrow. So you can make, dehydrate and take your own meals. It’s a tasty, economical and lower shipping option for those who appreciate home cooking. Have used on longer trips too with group meals with wonderful results. Well worth trying. The club cook book has dehydrator recipes plus lots of experienced members on ‘how to’. Dehydrator snacks too: kiwifruit, banana, strawberries are all yum and hummus for lunch when the cheese is all eaten.
