Summer Trip Schedule Leaders
Thank you to all who came along to the trip planning night. We had towards twenty people there which is great to see. More importantly the pizza went quickly.
We now have a well designed trip schedule with some great ideas for trips on it. The only thing missing is we need leaders for the trips. I think I have contacted everybody who wishes to lead a trip but if you have not received an email from me please contact me at .
For those of you who have received the email please sign up! This is the best time of the year to be outdoors. The trip schedule will be open for leader sign up until the 17th November 2014.
Trip leading is at the heart of the club. Not everybody can lead trips and people play their parts in other ways but the essence of the club is to get people into the outdoors. It has been encouraging in recent years that more new members are putting their hands up to lead trips and this is leading to more trips being run. Please keep up the good work – it is helping the club grow.
New Trip Schedule design
When you view the next trip schedule you will notice that it is a bit different from the previous schedule in it’s format.
We have made some changes to help new members better understand what the trips are about and how to get on them. We are also going to list trip leader emails on the printed version to make it easier for people to contact the trip leader. Any leader who does not want their email listed please contact me. The emails will not be viewable from the website.
Please do email with your thoughts on the new schedule. We may change it or if it is deemed unsuccessful revert to the old schedule format but I believe the new format is worth consideration.
