Galapagos of the Southern Ocean

In January Sarah travelled to the Subantarctic Islands with Heritage Expeditions as a recipient of their True Young Explorer Scholarship Programme.

The Subantarctic Islands are one of three World Heritage Areas New Zealand has, yet many people do not know about their existence.

Sarah will talk about her time on the 13 day expedition exploring such a unique place, how it provided an insight into life without predators and why we all must fight to protect the Subantarctic Islands for the animals and plants that call it home. She will also talk about what life was like on board the Spirit of Enderby.
