Restoring rare river and coastal ecosystems at Baring Head – Paula Warren

Wed 6 Mar 2019 @ 7:00 pm

Free

Paula from Friends of Baring Head will talk about the work they’ve done to look after Baring Head.

Baring Head is a spectacular 284 hectare headland and river valley on the coast south of Wainuiomata, between Palliser Bay and Wellington Harbour. It’s a scenic reserve, managed by the Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) as part of the East Harbour Regional Park.

Friends of Baring Head supports GWRC in its stewardship of the area and the protection, maintenance and restoration of Baring Head.

They have an ongoing biodiversity programme, including planting, plant care, and weed control. They run monthly events and encourage groups to get involved.

Find out about their work and how to get involved. Read more about their work here: http://www.baringhead.org.nz.
