WTMC talks: New Zealand’s Remotest Huts – The Subantarctic Islands

New Zealand’s five subantactic islands are a taonga that few New Zealanders ever see. They harbour precious seabirds, awe-inspiring landscapes and, of course, our remotest huts. Come along and hear WTMC Club member Sam give a presentation on his experience visiting the islands on a 12 day expedition in January this year as part of a youth scholarship offered by Heritage Expeditions (don’t worry – there are plenty of photos!).
*WTMC social nights are open to WTMC Club members and the general public. You don’t need to book or RSVP, just turn up! It’s also a great time to come along and ask questions about getting involved with the club.
Doors open at 7pm. From 7 – 7:30pm you can pickup and return gear from club trips and grab a cup of tea and a biscuit. From 7:30 there are always a few announcements and then we get to the main presenter of the night.
