WTMC Talks: Being a respectful manuhiri (visitor) and gaining confidence in the ngahere (bush)

Wed 22 Nov 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Elizabeth will talk about gaining confidence with tramping through a WTMC club trip to Cobb Valley. She’ll also discuss how we can as tauiwi and Pākehā be considerate manuhiri, and suggestions on what we can do to be more respectful of the land and mana whenua on our tramping trips.

*WTMC social nights are open to WTMC Club members and the general public. You don’t need to book or RSVP, just turn up! It’s also a great time to come along and ask questions about getting involved with the club.

Doors open at 7pm. From 7 – 7:30pm you can pickup and return gear for club trips and grab a cup of tea and a biscuit. From 7:30 there are always a few announcements and then we get to the main presenter of the night.
