FMC has forwarded to the club a letter from DOC (dated 5/3/2001) that they and other DOC associates received concerning the Hut and Camp Fee System Review. I will put the letter on the club noticeboard.
The guts of it is this:
As at 5 March DOC had received some 260 submissions (including one from WT&MC – see the What’s New page of the web-site) which have thrown up a large range of suggestions on how to improve the system.
DOC wants “to call a halt to the present process and take stock of things.” Hence they have postponed their planned meeting with key associates. They will reconvene this meeting once they have analysed the submissions and taken stock.
DOC acknowledges that any change to the present system requires an acceptable level of support from national associates and that they will not proceed without that support.
