Just had a call from the landowner at the bottom of the Rimutaka Pylon Track – she’s had enough of riders getting lost and going through without permission, so she’s closing access for MTBer’s.

That effectively closes the Kaitoke end of the Rimutaka Pylon Track.

The only way to do that track now is to climb up from the Featherston end (the original Hell climb) and then turn around at the top and return to Featherston.
