I am wanting to scan some photos which could later be shown via a data projector.
Can any one tell me what resolution the photos would need to be scanned at?
The photos are mostly standard 6×4.

Hi Ruth,

My suggestion is a setting around about 170 to 200 dpi and 24bit colour for a 6 x 4 photo.
The suggestion is based on the fact that most LCD projectors won’t do much better than 1024 x 768 resolution.
