Anybody interested in a trip to the Night Glow event at the Wairarapa hot-air balloon festival in Masterton tomorrow (Saturday)? It sounds like a fun event, and a great opportunity for keen photographers, with lots of hot-air balloons lit up at night and a fireworks display.

There’s a special train from Wellington (leaves Wellington 4.20 pm, returns to Wellington 10.57 pm); alternatively we could go by private car on Saturday morning and do something else first (e.g. visit the Mt Bruce wildlife centre, or do a day trip up Mt Holdsworth).

The night glow is cool – went a few years ago and was amazing so can reccommend it.
