This is to advise that there is a 3 hour restriction for parking at Whakapapa Village (chateau area). Parking at Iwikau Village (top of the Bruce road) for clubbies has not changed from last year with the exception that car park 2 will be available replacing car park 1 for snow clearing reasons and safety as car park 1 has proven to have be been too steep.
There are 400 parks for club cars and 2000 parks in total at Iwikau and that will determine the number of skiiers able to access the mountain on a single day. Those people arriving on a Saturday or Sunday morning will be subject to Bookable parking. See The RAL website for details on this. Clubbies arriving early afternoon on Saturday or Sunday could be subject to restrictions on a ‘bluebird’ day so time your arrival for 3 or 4pm or take a chance.
