We’re holding a van driving familiarisation session on Saturday 22 August, from 9am-12pm, led by Richard Lardner and Kevin Cole.
This session offers a chance to try out driving one of our Ford Transit vans in a low-pressure, low-traffic environment.
It also includes a number of tricks and tips about driving and operating our vans (existing drivers are very welcome to attend).
The session will cover:
- the features of the van, including some hidden ones (such as how to unlock the child lock – otherwise known as ‘why won’t the sliding door open from the inside?’ – and how to change the beam-angle of the headlights)
- what to do in case of a flat tyre or other mechanical problem
- where the vans are stored
- how to pay for diesel
- how to fit snow chains
Everyone attending will get the chance to practice driving.
