Did you know that we also have a NZ Mountain Film Festival?
The festival started in 2002 in Wanaka, featuring 35mm slides as the Wanaka Mountain Slide Festival. Since then it’s moved on to films, a more inclusive name and lineup, and a growing international presence. According to the website, “It’s NZ’s original mountain film festival with it’s own international adventure film maker’s competition, as well as a highly regarded NZ made division.” The festival is scheduled for 4th – 8th of July in Wanaka and in Queenstown on the 10thand 11th of July. The festival includes more than just films – look out for speakers, a photo competition, a film editing competition, workshops and more. Find more information about the festival and tickets on the film’s website.
