What a great snow season that was! We finished it off with a sold out Labour weekend. Now it’s time to think about summer trips to enjoy barbecues on the deck and everything Tongariro National Park has to offer.

Don’t forget the lodge in summer

There are lots of great club trips scheduled for early summer – check out the schedule. We’ll get more down for late summer as well.

And think of the lodge as your central north island bach. If you want to use it just drop me a line and we’ll sort it out. Summer rates are cheap – just $14 per night for adult members, cheaper for kids. No faffing about with the water and the road is nice and easy in summer. It’s your perfect base for exploring Tongariro National Park.

Open lodge – Christmas/New Years

We’ve just started planning for Open Lodge – drop in any time, no booking no hassle between 26 Dec and 7 Jan. Keep us in mind for your Christmas holidays if you want a central north island getaway or just want to break your journey at a picturesque mountain location.

We are after people to look after the lodge over this period too. So if you can lock in some days I’d really appreciate it if you could drop me a line.

Under-bunk Lockers – lost property

Do you have an under-bunk locker? Some of these spaces have been abandoned over the last, oh, ten years or so. We’re figuring out who owns what stuff.

If you have stuff in an under-bunk locker, please get in touch.

We also have a small bag of lost property from the lodge. If you’re missing some of your gear then give us a yell – we might have it.

That’s it for now – and that’s a wrap on one of the best seasons for a while. See you up at our lodge in summer, or on the snow in 2018.
