A lot of exciting social events are coming up on Wednesday nights.
2 Sept 2015 – David Jewell will take us on a journey ascending Footstool (2765m) via the Eugenie Glacier and the main divide in Mt Cook National Park.
9 Sept 2015 – New WTMC members, Jordan and Jenna from Stoked for Saturday will be talking about filming their outdoor adventures including an introduction to using a drone. Check out their website for some excellent examples.
16 Sept 2015- Katy Glenie & Mike Phethean, just back from a recent US trip, will take us through exploring and climbing in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
23 Sept 2015 – Tony Gazley will be giving the first of his two-part talk on weather. This first one will focus on understanding weather patterns for trampers.
30 Sept 2015- Debbie Buck will be sharing tales from her trip through the 6 passes.
The weeks further ahead are just exciting with a visit from Spike the Tuatara, historic WTMC slides from Sue Walsh’s treasure trove, the annual WTMC Quiz night (including Bivouac vouchers for the first place team), WTMC Bake Off (including awards for best baking), and heaps more.
