To make it more irritating the story doesn’t have anything at all interesting to say because it was such a nice trip that nothing of any note happened. The weather was calm and mostly sunny, the tracks were dry, the birds were singing and the fungi were bright blue and purple, there were some tall tales told especially one concerning fresh coriander, and on Saturday evening we had a very tasty meal and a special desert by candlelight that had been cooked by Barbara after a couple of games of Bananagram. We had interesting company in the hut and the view from Mt Reeves on Sunday was superb.
So all fairly usual for a weekend away in the Tararuas. But if you want to have a look at some of the pics taken on the trip try clicking here.
