A trip in the Mt Owen area of Kahurangi National Park in search of an Owen Ice Cave.

At Castle Basin next day on the way to the cave in wet and windy weather. We turned back here.

Lunch stop by the Owen River. Just an hour more along the track to the end of a nice weekend – but we now have to go back again to find the cave we know is there somewhere.
