  Whakapapa Ski Patrol is organising the first annual Avalanche Awareness Evening for North Island skiers and boarders on the 21st August at Basekamp Bar in National Park starting 7pm – free entry.

  Also the Mountain Safety Council is running a basic avalanche awareness course at Whakapapa August 14-15, $100 not including food, transport and accommodation. Check out their website if interested.

  Turoa skifield has 3 Avalanche Awareness Courses coming up, on the 10th & 11th August, the 28th & 29th August, and the 9th & 10th September, priced at $100 per person.
