The Wellington Tramping and Mountaineering Club hosts a new members night at 4 Moncrieff St from 7:30pm. Beginners need not stay away; organisers insist the group caters for all fitness levels, running easy day walks, fun weekend trips and simple kayak weekends, “where we hit the sea or rivers with inflatable toys and gourmet feasts”. A number of lifelong friendships and relationships have been formed through the club, which aims to show members “how the outdoors can be safe, fun, challenging yet relaxing with a great group of people”.
