Hello,

Does anyone have any advice on choosing a big tent?

The current Kathmandu sale has Paul and I thinking about investing in future family summer holidays by buying a something bigger than our little fairydown tunnel. But these things are massive! Can anyone else out there who has made the transition from fly-camping on ice shelves to babies on beaches offer any words of wisdom?

Are canvas tents worth the extra $$?

Do we really need “two rooms, four doors, two windows and large vestibule with optional porch area”?

Any experience of the Kathmandu “basecamp” tent range or Coleman range?
