Cactus Climbing make good gear, I’ve got a daypack of theirs I’ve used most days since 1996 and it’s showing no appreciable wear other than a bit of fading.

Hands-up Wellington is on this weekend at TSB arena – there’ll be a whole heap of Chch retailers plying their trade so you can vote for them with your wallets.

Wellington-born company, Cactus Climbing, will be in on Stand #23 at the Hands-Up Wellington Expo at the TSB Bank Arena on 2nd and 3rd July, and is keen to show members of the Wellington Tramping & Mountaineering Club our latest and greatest gear. In fact, we’re so keen to see you that we’ll give you 20% off any product you buy or order at the Cactus stand over that weekend if you just come on down and say ‘Hi’.

The event itself is all about Wellington people giving Christchurch businesses who have been badly affected by the last 9 months of earthmoving and closed-off CBD a “hand-up”, and boy do we appreciate it.
