Cycle race organiser Astrid Andersen’s conviction for criminal nuisance that led to the death of a rider in a 2001 race has been overturned on appeal.
In a decision issued yesterday, the Court of Appeal said recklessness, not mere negligence, would have been needed for the charge to stick.
