Hi everyone,
I have found a volunteer Avalanche information site in the US that sells Avalance trancievers at very nice prices.

This is the model that i have bought from them.
The $230 plus postage and a donation came in at $ 398 NZD.
The less than $400 NZD meant that my package was not liable for GST from NZ Customs, a further saving of $50 NZD.
The retail for this model from NZ stores is $ 699.
They were great to deal with, getting my model in from the supplier during their summer.
I am happy to recommend to everyone.
