The club doesnt have any planned daytrips for the 28th Aug..so if you are in Wellington you may like to consider a daywalk with a difference run by Wellington City Council…there is a small cost.

FEELING GREAT WALK: WELLINGTON FAULTLINE TO THE WELLINGTON EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICE TOUR (4 hrs)
Walk on a Faultline and find out about Wellington’s earthquake history! From the Brooklyn shops we walk up to the wind turbine, then it’s downhill all the way as we follow the Wellington fault. The route travels past the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary and the Botanical Gardens before heading along Tinakori Road visit the Wellington Emergency Management Office and then to the railway station. We will be accompanied by Dr David Kennedy, a geology expert from Victoria University. For more information about Explore Wellington walks, visit http://www.feelinggreat.co.nz

      Cost: $4.00/$2.00 PTL
Meet: Bus stop at Brooklyn shops

David Kennedy is a cool dude. He went on a kayaking club trip with us last year in Abel Tasman. Sure you will be in good hands.
