I’m currently in my third year of the outdoor education degree at CPIT. One of my assignments this year is a research project, and I have chosen to do mine on mountaineering accidents in New Zealand as I am a keen climber and want to gather information that will enable myself and others to climb for longer. I am gathering my data from survey forms and am looking for mountaineers to fill them out.
While this is a small scale research project, it is a good opportunity to discover where we as kiwi mountaineers are getting it wrong, so improvements in personal practice and training can occur.
The survey itself will only take several minutes of your time. Please email me at with ‘Research’ in the subject line to receive the survey. Feel free to pass surveys on to any other climbers.
