There are still places left on Stephen and Tony’s Easter trips to Mt Owen in Kahurangi NP.
The trips are graded EM and M and may be combined.
Sign up sheets are coming down next Wed March 13 so suggest you get in quick if you fancy a South Island tramp at Easter.
Mt Owen (1875m), is the highest point in Kahurangi NP and famous for its amazing karst formations and for featuring in the first of the LoTR trilogy (Dimrill Dale). The entire area is well worth a look. I was there a fortnight ago, the rata is in flower, the dracophyllum forest is awesome, there is a big hut and excellent camping nearby.
Best of all Tony and Stephen have no experience leading dull trips.
