I have volunteered to lead an easy/medium trip over Anniversary weekend in the Tararuas (ex Poads Road). I’m looking for 2 or 3 keen people to take part in this trip. The plan is as foloows:

Friday night: Poads Road to the old Ohau Shelter site.
Staurday: To Te Matawai Hut via Gable End Ridge.
Sunday: To South Ohau Hut (or Waiopehu Hut)
Monday: Out via the South Ohau River (or Waiopehu Track)

If you are interested, please call me by next Sunday night at the latest (Home: 232 9974, mobile: 027 6228066). Also, I want to delegate some of the trip organizing to other people – so be prepared to be tasked with organizing food, or party gear etc.

Note that this trip is only 2 weekends away.
