If you want to do an alpine course this Winter then remember to fill out an application form (downloadable from the home page of this website) and email it to

You need to be;
– keen to extend your tramping experience to include winter tops travel or bigger alpine adventures
– a Club member
– available to attend all of the course
– prepared to pay the course fee and pay a small amount for gear hire as required
– fit enough to be able to wander around in snow all day (plenty of rests and standing aroud, sliding and lying down though)

Legible handwriting is also desirable.

If you have signed up and have not sent me an application form now is the time to rectify that.

I cannot contact you all direct because try as I might I cannot read some of the names scribbled on the sign up sheet.

There are still plenty of places available on Snowcraft and 1, possibly more slots on the AIC.
