Tony van HorikGuest
As part of my desire to travers the South Island I am looking for one or two
people keen to go from South coast starting at the Waitutu River, taking in
the Princess Mountains, Dusky Track and then heading north on the Western
side of lake Te Anau ending up at Glade House/Cascade – or there abouts. Part
of the trip I have done before so am familiar with some of it. I would like to
contact anyone who has travelled in this area before and has route information. I have done quite a bit of planning and am happy to share with anyone interested. This is rugged country so a good level of fitness and endurance will be required often no tracks and no huts. I am planning to start round 20 January 2013 and would hope to finish the Fiordland section in about 30 days. There will be places where people can opt in and out if they do not wish to do the whole trip – I have some tenatively interested. Depending on people’s availability and time this coming summer I may continue through to finish at Mt Cook via the Landborough valley.
You can e-mail me or call on 027 4806126. Cheers Tony
