Yibai can’t lead the trip, but there are at least a couple of us that are keen.

Basic route….Ohau – Waiopehu Hut – (Pukematewai) – Dracophyllum Biv – Nichols – Waitewaewae – Otaki Fks

The track along the main range has recently been recut, and DOC have suggested that there won’t be a hut at Nichols for too much longer.

So a great chance to do a classic trip in summer.
