A club minivan is heading to the club lodge at Whakapapa from Platform 9 at the railway station departing at 5.30pm this Friday 20th July. There are still spaces left in the lodge which can be booked online at this website. The weather forecast is looking OK…..but no guarantees! Member fare is $58 return and non-member fare is $68 return. They have 5 available seats for anyone (members or non-members) who may wish to visit Ruapehu for skiing or other outdoor alpine action. The van will be returning to Wellington on Sunday afternoon/early evening. If you just need a lift to a destination en-route (SH1) then please let me know and I can calculate an appropriate fare.
