The Wellington Outdoor Festival is happening from 30 Oct through to December. The festival will offer all sorts of outdoor activities for all ages.

A launch day for the festival is being held on 30 October at Frank Kitts Park from 11am – 2pm with free
activities including:

Sailing (kids 8-12 yrs)
Fishing with Pete Lamb (hire rod and bait on day or bring your own)
roller blading/skating/skateboarding (supplied by Kilbirnie Recreation Centre)
Bike maintenance – bring your bike
Unicycling
Rock Climbing ($3)
Waka Ama
Stand-up paddle boarding (bring your wet-suit)
Dragon Boating
GirlGuides – crafts and sausage sizzle
Wellington Orienteering waterfront course
