Keen to get into New Zealand’s great outdoors but don’t know where to start? No question is too stupid for WTMC bushcraft .
This weekend course will to teach you the basics about what to take, what to expect and how to look after yourself. It’s designed for people over the age of 18 who are interested in tramping with our club in the future. You’ll find out how club trips work, get some basic, practical instruction on navigation and river crossings, and meet some friendly new faces. And you’ll stay at the club’s hut in the Orongorongos, an easy two-hour tramp from the carpark.
When: the weekend of 9-10 March (plus a gear session on Wednesday 6 March at 7pm)
Cost: $55 (includes transport and accommodation at Paua hut )
