      Hi everyone. This 2 day forum’s been advertised recently (I’m just reposting here). It’s more on the conservation than recreation side, but may well interest some people in the club, especially with the Ruahine trapping programme that the club’s getting involved with.

      When: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Thursday 18 June 2015 and Friday 19 June 2015.
      Where: Department of Conservation, Level 4 Conference Room, 18-32 Manners Street, Te Aro, Wellington.

      What:

      See short presentations showcasing innovative tools and current good practice applications.

      Find out about DOC’s new Pest and Weed Management desktop and mobile applications, opportunities to use Esri Collector Offline, and simple no-cost options including PDF-Maps, Kobotoolbox (ODK), and other experiences shared by those working in the field.

      This event will be of interest to community groups and Māori groups working in conservation related areas, and all agencies supporting their work.
