Keen for a trip into the hills to focus on art or photography?

Lee-Ann and I are leading a trip over Waitangi weekend – leaving Tuesday evening, returning Sunday evening to Lake Sylvester tops in Kahurangi National Park. It’s only a 3-hour walk to the hut and we’ll spend the trip painting (or any other form of art) or photographing the landscape of the 7 or so lakes that lie on these tops. The grade is easy.
