Bivouac Outdoor Wellington are hosting an avalanche safety evening in their store at 39 Mercer Street on 11 August at 7:00pm.
This will be of interest to skiers/ boarders and climbers, as well as trampers who may be heading into snow terrain. The session aims to provide awareness of the dangers of avalanches in the NZ high-country and how you can mitigate the associated risks.

Cost is $5 and all proceeds go to the Sir Ed Himalayan Trust.
