Hi all,
I’m organising three fabulous South Island summer trips this year:
10 day Matukituki Valley camp at the base of Mt Aspiring (cruisy walks to for those that want them and high mountains for the nutters). This is one of New Zealand’s most beautiful valleys and well suited to anyone from cruisy trampers to mountaineers. 27 December to 5/6 January
6-7 day Fiordland trip to climb Mt Irene (Medium Fit/Alpine 1), the highest peak in central/southern Fiordland on the fringe of the takahe area. It’s possible we might be able to return through the takahe area. Expect great views, wild country, plenty of rain… Mid January.
3-6 day Fiordland trip to climb Mt Madeleine (Fit/Alpine 3), the second highest peak in the Darrans (day in, day up, day out and three days for the weather). Late January.
