Try the shoe repair place in the arcade across the road from the Wellington Central Police station, along towards the railway station a bit. Think it is called “Hurry Up Shoe repairs”. I’ve had a couple of repairs done there over the years (replacing pulled out eyelets etc) and they seem to be good.
I tried this cobbler to resole some scarpas (uppers in good condition) – I took the boots back 3 times before giving up. i’ve ended up screwing the soles on and using them for trackbuilding. I should have tried for a warranty on the soles as they were delaminating.
