Hi all,
I’m leading a day trip to Kapiti Island on January 25th / 26th. Instead of just roaming around the island, I thought it would be a great opportunity to do some conservation work.
Kapiti is a really special place, so it would be awesome to get up close and personal with some of the local inhabitants, while helping out DOC with some planting and track work.
Other than the obvious feel good benefits, the travel costs to the island reduce (you don’t have to purchase a permit).
Please let me know before Dec 24th if you are interested in this trip. I have to confirm numbers etc to DOC by this date. The trip will cost approximately $50 return (the cost of the ferry)
Cheers
Katy
