Mainly tramping is going to close down this Friday, it’s very sad as they’ve been around for long time and always have excellent customer services. They are offering 25% discount of all the climbing gears until this Friday, so be quick.

Oh crud, that’s a shame. Mainly Tramping’s been around for ages.

Does anyone happen to know if anyone else is accepting Mainly Tramping returns? I have a $400 pair of boots which have come apart twice, and with another six months left on the warranty. The thought of having to deal directly with a distributor in Christchurch, if and when they break again, doesn’t really appeal.

On a related note, would anyone happen to know who distributes Salomon gear in New Zealand? (All I know is that they were sent to Christchurch twice — they average surviving two weekend trips.)
