Keen readers of the latest newsletter will have spotted the initiative of Wayne Boness, of DoC’s Kapiti Conservancy, to develop an historical display for the new Maungahuka Hut. Wayne has asked for the club’s assistance in this, and I am coordinating the effort. The finished display will be designed and created by DoC.

I’m keen to hear from anyone with photos and stories of the old hut, the Tararua Peaks and their ladder, and the general area.
