This Wednesday, 21 Aug, Nina Sawicki and Lorraine Johns will be talking about mountaineering and how beginners can improve their skills. The two ladies have put together a scenic slide show focusing on some South Island climbing trips that they hope will make you keen to get out there. They will also talk about moutaineering as a lifelong journey of learning, the ins and outs of group dynamics, taking responsibility for your own climbing, and the importance of mentoring for all climbers. Feature trips are climbs of Mount Earnslaw near Queenstown and Mitre Peak in the Milford Sound. Not to be missed!

It’s great as a guide to developing your climbing skills after attending a snowcraft or AIC. The content is equally relevant for tramping post a bushcraft or starting trip leading after a leadership course. Do watch it .. it is well worth it!
