Some news from DoC:
A temporary bridge has been constructed to replace the Waiotauru River Suspension Bridge destroyed by flooding in January this year. The temporary bridge, which provides access to the Tararua Ranges from the picnic site at Otaki Forks, has a one person load limit. Work has begun on design for a new permanent bridge which we expect will be constructed in the next 12 months.
