I need a new pair of boots and am hoping on not spending too much. I want to get a pair that will handle a bit of abuse as I do most of my tramping in Winter.
Kathmandu have their sale on at the moment, they have some boots that they reckon cost a bit over $400 (their top of the range boots I think) and are reduced to around $200. Are Kathmandu Boots any good? (they are leather boots)

Hi Peter

I have always used kathmandu boots and found they really good. When I wore out my first pair I got another at their next sale. After a few years the sole at the front came off but by then I had done mega amounts of tramping so thought they were really good value for money. I have never got blisters from them apart from after walking the hard packed tracks like the great walks. I would recomend them and dont be put off them as they are cheap.
