Hi all

I plan to do the Tongariro Crossing next week solo, i was wondering if its actually recommended that it be done solo. I don’t have a lot of tramping experience (but i have done a 2 day trek in Vietnam last year) but i am reasonably fit and i know how to pack enough to survive a few days by myself.

Any opinions would be swell

It’s a pretty straight forward walk, normally there are plenty people so you can just follow them, but if weather is bad then know how to navigate is essential. You can do it as a day trip, just beware if you leave your car at road end make sure there is no valuable stuff in there.

Hi,

I am in need of a guide/helper for a three days and two nights tramping trip. This tramping trip is for the Young New Zealanders Challenge. The guide will be taking 4 boys on a tramp and should be familiar with the track.

If anyone can help us I would really appreciate it.
