This Sunday kicks off the Makara Peak Streamside planting sessions for the year. We have 500 seedlings to put in the ground south of the carpark on Sth Karori Road. It doesn’t take much to dig a few holes for these plants – so even if you stop for 30mins it will be appreciated.
This is all part of our grand restoration plan for the South Karori streamside. We’ve planted over 15,000 plants over the past 6-7 years and the results are plain to see. you don’t have to be a mountainbikers to support this initiative.
For the fully commited planter, meet at the South Karori Road Mountain Bike Park carpark at 10am, Sunday. Plants, tools, gloves and lunch provided.
